The Diode Dynamics Always On™ Module for the Infiniti Q50 and Q70 allows you to keep your factory fog lights illuminated as daytime running lights. This simple plug-and-play module integrates directly with the factory wiring for a clean, OEM-style upgrade.
This guide walks through the installation process for the Always On™ Module, including accessing the headlight and fog light connectors and installing the module inline with the factory harness.

- Small flathead screwdriver
- 10mm socket or wrench
Time Required: Approximately 30–45 minutes.
Installation Instructions
Step 1 – Prepare the vehicle
Turn the steering wheel to the left to improve access, then open the hood.
Step 2 – Remove the front air duct
Using a small flathead screwdriver, remove the eight locking screws securing the front air duct. Note that the larger locking screws are used in the outermost holes and the two rear holes. Pull straight up and remove the air duct, then set it aside.
Step 3 – Remove the air box
On the passenger side, remove the two 10mm screws securing the air box. You may need to gently lift the shroud cover to access the second screw. Once removed, pull the air box straight up and reposition it to gain access to the headlight connector.
Step 4 – Unplug the headlight connector
Use a small flathead screwdriver to depress the clip on the bottom of the headlight connector, then pull straight out to unplug it.
Step 5 – Install the Always On™ module inline
Plug the larger connectors on the Always On™ Module inline between the vehicle harness and the headlight connector. Route the remaining connectors down toward the fog light location.
Step 6 – Connect to the fog light harness
On the passenger side, remove the locking screw in the wheel well and gently pull back the fender liner to access the fog light connector. Release the fog light connector tab and plug the module inline.
If your vehicle is equipped with the optional adaptive lighting feature, you may need to reach around or underneath the adaptive lighting controller to access the fog light connector.
Step 7 – Test and reassemble
Test the module to confirm proper operation, then reinstall the original screws in the wheel well, air box, and air duct. Ensure the grommet is properly seated when reinstalling the air box.
Please note: the factory DRL only turns on when the vehicle is started.
