Installation Tools
- 12mm socket and ratchet
- Painter’s tape or masking tape
- Assistant (recommended for hood support)
Time Required: Approximately 30–60 minutes.
Installation Instructions
Step 1 – Mark Hood Hinges and Protect Paint
Starting on the driver side, mark the location of the hood hinges with tape. Tape the edges of the hood to prevent scratching during installation.
Step 2 – Remove Hood Hinge Bolts
Remove the two 12mm bolts securing the hood hinge while supporting the rear of the hood. We highly recommend having someone hold the front of the hood to ensure it does not close when the bolts are removed.
Step 3 – Position the Ditch Light Bracket
Place the ditch light bracket under the hood hinge and align the mounting holes. Adjust the bracket to leave a slight gap at the back of the hood before tightening.
Step 4 – Secure the Bracket
Reinstall the factory bolts to secure the bracket and hood hinge. Ensure the hinge lines up with the tape marks before fully tightening.
Step 5 – Repeat on Passenger Side
Remove the protective tape and repeat the steps on the passenger side to complete bracket installation. On the passenger side, remove the washer fluid line before removing the hood hinge bolts. Reinstall the washer fluid line after bracket installation is complete.
Step 6 – Mount the LED Pods and Route Wiring
Once the brackets are mounted, refer to the Universal Bracket Info/Mounting Guide to mount your SSC2 or SS3 pods to the brackets. Each bracket includes a small cutout to assist with wire routing. Use the included zip ties to secure the wiring away from the hood hinge.
