Using a 10mm socket, remove the four bolts from the top of the grille.

Step 3 - Remove the Wheel Well Screws

Using a 10mm socket, remove the four screws from inside the wheel well. If the vehicle is equipped with over-fender molding, remove the additional screw from the lower inside edge of the wheel well opening. Repeat this step on the opposite side.

Step 11 - Assemble the Fog Light Brackets

Install the four included fog light brackets onto the sides of the Stage Series 6" light bars using the supplied hardware.

Some kits include billet mounting adapters, while newer kits use revised outer mounting brackets that eliminate the need for the adapters. Both versions install using this guide and provide identical fitment.

If your kit includes billet mounting adapters, install the included set screws in the center mounting position on both sides of each light bar. Attach each adapter to the light bar using the supplied Torx screws in the upper and lower mounting holes. Once the adapters are secured, attach the outer mounting brackets using the supplied hex bolts.

If your kit does not include billet mounting adapters, attach the revised outer mounting brackets directly to the light bars using the supplied hardware.

Note: If your kit does not include billet mounting adapters, the revised outer mounting brackets attach directly to the light bars using the supplied hardware. Both versions provide identical fitment and performance.

Step 12 - Install the LED Light Bars

Position each assembled light bar and mounting bracket into the factory fog light location. Secure the assembly using the factory screws removed earlier. Repeat this step on the opposite side.

Step 13 - Connect the Vehicle Harness

Use the included adapter wire to connect each light bar to the corresponding factory fog light connector.

Connect the Backlight Wire (Optional)

Stage Series Light Bars equipped with the backlight function feature an integrated amber backlight that illuminates the TIR optic for a distinctive accent appearance.

Connect the blue wire with the red male spade connector to a fused 12V source. The parking light or sidemarker circuit is commonly used so the backlight activates with the vehicle's exterior lighting.

Use the included T-taps to make the connection:

  • Position the T-tap over the selected wire.
  • Use needle-nose pliers to fully seat and crimp the T-tap.
  • Insert the red male spade connector into the T-tap until secure.

Note: The selected power source must be fused. Do not connect the backlight wire directly to the vehicle battery.

Step 14 - Temporarily Reinstall the Grille and Bumper Assembly

Temporarily position the grille and bumper assembly back onto the vehicle so the lights can be tested and aimed before final reassembly. Snap each end into the fender clips, reinstall the four 10mm bolts along the top of the grille, and reconnect the grille connectors if equipped.

Step 15 - Test the Lights

Test the function of both light bars. If either light does not illuminate, disconnect the adapter from the factory harness, rotate the connector 180 degrees, and reconnect it. Complete the aiming procedure below, then tighten the light bar mounting bolts.

Step 16 - Reassemble the Vehicle

Remove the grille and bumper assembly again by reversing Step 14. Then reinstall the bumper components and grille assembly by reversing Steps 1 through 9.

Aiming Instructions

Step 17 - Position the Vehicle for Aiming

Park the vehicle on a level surface 25 feet away from a wall or garage door.

Step 18 - Loosen the Light Bar Bolts

Loosen the M6 bolts on both sides of each SS6 light bar just enough to allow the light bar to pivot.

Step 19 - Measure the Mounting Height

Measure the distance from the ground to the center of the SS6 light bar. This measurement is the mounting height.

Step 20 - Mark the Mounting Height on the Wall

Use tape to mark the measured mounting height on the wall or garage door.

Step 21 - Mark the Fog Light Cutoff Line

Place a second horizontal piece of tape four inches below the mounting-height mark. This lower mark is the fog light cutoff line.

Step 22 - Aim the SS6 LED Light Bars

Adjust each SS6 light bar until the top of the beam pattern aligns with the cutoff-line mark.

Step 23 - Complete the Installation

Tighten the M6 bolts on both sides of each light bar. Do not overtighten the bolts or use power tools.

The installation is now complete. Enjoy your new SS6 LED Fog Light Kit for the 2022-2026 Toyota Tundra and 2023-2026 Toyota Sequoia!
