Installation Instructions
Step 1 — Remove taillight trim fastener
Remove the plastic push clip securing the taillight trim using a Phillips screwdriver.
Step 2 — Remove taillight trim panel
Use a plastic trim tool to carefully remove the taillight trim panel.
Step 3 — Remove factory taillight bolts
Remove the two 10mm bolts securing the taillight assembly.
Step 4 — Remove taillight assembly
Carefully pull the taillight away from the vehicle.
Step 5 — Disconnect taillight connector
Disconnect the factory taillight connector and set the taillight aside in a safe location.
Step 6 — Connect inline harness
Connect the supplied inline harness to the vehicle-side taillight connector.
Step 7 — Route harness through body opening
Feed the harness connector down through the factory opening behind the bumper.
Step 8 — Reconnect taillight
Reconnect the taillight to the inline harness.
Step 9 — Reinstall taillight
Reinstall the taillight assembly and secure it with the two factory 10mm bolts.
Step 10 — Reinstall taillight trim
Reinstall the taillight trim panel removed earlier.
Step 11 — Remove center bumper cover
Using a trim tool, remove the rectangular cover from the center of the rear bumper.
Step 12 — Remove lower bumper clips
Remove the two plastic push clips from the underside of the bumper on each side.
Step 13 — Configure brake light strobe (optional)
Leave the purple wire connected to enable brake light strobing. To disable the strobe, disconnect and install the safety strobe module.
Step 14 — Install safety strobe module
Plug the safety strobe module into the harness connector.
Step 15 — Route wiring into bumper cavity
Route the wiring and connector into the center bumper cavity.
Step 16 — Prepare mounting bracket
Slide the provided clip nuts onto the brake light mounting bracket.
Step 17 — Install brake light into bracket
Insert the brake light into the bracket and secure it using the supplied screws.
Step 18 — Connect brake light wiring
Connect the safety strobe module to the brake light.
Step 19 — Install brake light into bumper
Carefully push the brake light assembly into the bumper opening.
Step 20 — Install support bracket
From behind the bumper, position the support bracket against the brake light bezel.
Step 21 — Secure brake light assembly
Secure the brake light and bracket using the supplied bolts and fasteners.
Step 22 — Secure wiring
Zip tie any loose wiring to prevent movement or rattling.
Step 23 — Reinstall lower bumper clips
Reinstall all plastic push clips removed from the underside of the bumper.
