- 3/32" Allen wrench
Installation should take approximately 10 to 20 minutes.
Installation Instructions
Step 1 — Open the battery compartment
Remove the lamp assembly from its packaging. Release the two plastic clip tabs on the back of the assembly to open the battery compartment.
Step 2 — Install the batteries
Pull the battery carrier out of the compartment. Install the four included AA batteries, following the positive and negative markings on the carrier.
Step 3 — Remove the preinstalled hardware
Reinstall the battery carrier and close the battery compartment. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the preinstalled mounting screw and T-slot nut from the lamp assembly.
Step 4 — Install the mounting hardware
Replace the preinstalled hardware with the included mounting screw and T-slot nut. Position the T-slot nut so its curved corner faces toward the right, as shown.
Step 5 — Install the end cap
Slide the included end cap onto the exposed end of the light pole.
Step 6 — Locate the accessory rail notch
Locate the installation notch along the accessory rail in the truck bed. This notch provides an opening for inserting the T-slot nut into the rail.
Step 7 — Insert the T-slot nut
Position the T-slot nut horizontally. Pivot the nut into the accessory rail through the notch, then position the lamp assembly against the rail. Alternatively, remove the accessory rail end cap and slide the T-slot nut into the rail from the end.
Step 8 — Position the bed light
Slide the lamp assembly along the accessory rail until it reaches your desired position. Once positioned, press the end cap installed earlier securely into place.
Step 9 — Secure the lamp assembly
Use a 3/32" Allen wrench to tighten the mounting screw. As you tighten the screw, the T-slot nut should rotate from its horizontal position into a vertical position inside the accessory rail. Its shape will prevent it from rotating too far, allowing it to tighten securely against the rail.
The installation is now complete. Enjoy your new Blade Series LED Bed Light!
