Time Required: Approximately 20-30 minutes.
Installation Instructions
Step 1 – Prepare the Hood
Open the hood. Apply painter's tape around the hood hinge to protect the painted surfaces and use tape to mark the current location of the hood hinge. These reference marks will help ensure proper hood alignment during reassembly.
Step 2 – Remove the Hood Hinge Hardware
Working on one side of the vehicle at a time, use a 13mm socket to remove the two factory washer nuts securing the hood to the hood hinge. Support the rear of the hood while removing the hardware to minimize hood movement.
Step 3 – Install the Ditch Light Bracket
Place the ditch light bracket beneath the hood hinge and align the mounting holes with the hood hinge studs. Before tightening the hardware, adjust the bracket so there is a slight gap at the rear of the hood.
Step 4 – Secure the Bracket
Reinstall the factory washer nuts and tighten them securely. Confirm that the hood hinge aligns with the tape marks made during Step 1 before fully tightening the hardware.
Step 5 – Repeat on the Opposite Side
Remove the protective tape and repeat the installation process on the opposite side of the vehicle.
Note: On the passenger side, disconnect the washer fluid line before removing the hood hinge hardware. Reinstall the washer fluid line after the bracket has been secured.
Step 6 – Mount the LED Pods and Route the Wiring
Install the Stage Series LED pods onto the ditch light brackets using the supplied mounting hardware. Refer to the Universal Bracket Information/Mounting Guide included with your kit for proper pod assembly and aiming.
Route the wiring through the cutout provided in each bracket and secure it with the included zip ties, ensuring the wiring remains clear of the hood hinges and any moving components.
Note: Do not use an automatic car wash with this kit installed.
