Mounting Instructions
Step 1 - Remove Bolts.
All Trim levels except Rebel and TRX: Begin the installation by removing the two factory 13mm bolts behind the rear bumper near the parking sensor on the driver and passenger side of the vehicle.
Rebel and TRX trim levels: Begin the installation by removing the two factory 10mm bolts behind the rear bumper on the outer side of the exhaust pipe on the driver and passenger side of the vehicle.
Step 2 - Mount Reverse Bracket.
All Trim levels except Rebel and TRX: Install the reverse kit bracket labeled LH on the Driver side of the vehicle using the factory 13mm bolt removed in Step 1. Then, install the reverse kit bracket labeled RH on the Passenger side of the vehicle using the remaining 13mm bolt.
Rebel and TRX trim levels: Install the reverse kit bracket labeled LH on the Driver side of the vehicle using the factory 10mm bolt removed in Step 1. Then, install the reverse kit bracket labeled RH on the Passenger side of the vehicle using the remaining 10mm bolt.
Step 3 - Install U-bracket.
On the driver's side of the vehicle, install the universal mounting bracket onto the reverse light bracket using the provided hardware. Make sure that the curved portion of the bracket is facing toward the rear of the vehicle.
Step 4 - Install Stage Series LED Pod.
Install your new SSC1, SSC2, or C1R LED pod onto the universal mounting bracket using the provided hardware.
Using a 5/32" Allen key and a 3/8" wrench, tighten the screw such that the pod retains its position, but can pivot with force for aiming.
Repeat Steps 3 and 4 on the passenger's side of the vehicle with the bracket labeled RH.
Wiring Instructions
Step 5 - Connect 7-Pin Harness.
From underneath the vehicle, disconnect the factory trailer hitch harness by depressing the retention tabs and pulling backward. Then, connect the provided 7-pin trailer hitch harness in line between the connector on the OEM harness and the connector on the back of the bumper (A).
Note: If you chose the C1R option, your harness will have a small black box with a purple wire which controls the SafetyStrobe feature. If you would like to disable this feature, simply cut the purple wire. This wire can be spliced together at a later time if you would like to regain the SafetyStrobe function.
Step 6 - Connect Pods to Harness.
Plug the DT connectors (B) into the back of the LED pods.
Step 7 - Aim Pod Lights.
Aim the pods as desired. Then tighten down the hardware using a 5/32” Allen key and a 3/8" wrench. Aiming can be achieved with the pods installed on the vehicle. There is no need to remove the pods to re-aim.
Step 8 - Test Function.
Test the function of your lights. Then, secure the wiring harness with the included zip ties to complete the installation.
