The Stage Series Backlit Ditch Light Kit for the 2022-2024 Ford Maverick allows you to easily mount two SS3 or SSC2 Backlit Pods above the hood. These application-specific brackets were CAD-designed to install using factory mounting points. No cutting or drilling required! This kit features a low profile design while minimizing glare, and will not interfere with raising or lowering the hood. Mounting Instructions
Step 1 - Open Hood
To begin the installation, you'll want to open the hood by pulling twice on the release lever inside the cab.
Step 2 - Locate Rubber Seal
Next, we'll locate the rubber seal where the fender meets the windshield. Then you can pop it out of place to gain access to our factory bolt and mounting location.
Step 3 - Remove Factory Bolt
With a 10mm wrench, remove the factory bolt that was previously concealed by our rubber seal.
Step 4 - Mounting Ditch Light Bracket
Then take the 10mm bolt and slide it through our ditch light bracket followed by our washer on the other side.
You can then bolt it back in place hand-tight threaded only hand tight with the bend facing toward the outside of the vehicle.
Step 5 - Leveling Ditch Light Bracket
Before securing our ditch light bracket, we'll need to level the bracket forward at -3 degrees.
Step 6 - Securing Ditch Light Bracket
After you've leveled your ditch light bracket, you can tighten the 10mm bolt to 80in-lb (9nm).
Step 7 - Passenger Side Installation
Now we can repeat the process in steps 2-6 on the driver's side of the vehicle on the passenger side.
Step 8 - Assembling Stage Series LED Pods
Since this kit is offered with our SSC2 or SS3 LED Pods, the assembly process will vary.

Step 9 - Mounting Stage Series LED Pods
Now we can place our assembled Stage Series LED pod on top of our ditch light bracket. Then we can feed our carriage bolt through our universal bracket and ditch the light bracket followed by our washer, lock washer, and nut underneath, and tighten it only hand tight to leave room for adjustment later.
Wiring Instructions
Step 10 - Connecting our Ground (Black Wire)
Taking an 8mm socket, we'll locate the body ground next to the airbox and loosen it allowing us to slide our black ground connector from our harness underneath and tighten it back down.
Step 11 - Connecting our Power (Red Wire)
Then with a 13mm deep socket or extension, loosen the power terminal, slide our red power wire underneath, and secure it back down.
Step 12 - Switch / Auxillary Adaptor
Taking a closer look at the switch portion of our harness, we can now route it through the firewall, into the cab, and mount it to the location of your choice. However, if you do have an aftermarket switch bank, you can disconnect the included toggle and plug in-line our auxiliary adaptors.
Step 13 - Routing DT Connectors
Now take our DT connectors and route one to the driver's side of the vehicle through the fender bracing, up under the rubber seal, and into the back of our pods.
For the passenger side, we'll route the DT across the engine bay away from any hot or moving parts, through the fender bracing, up under the rubber seal, and into the back of our pods.
Once this is complete, you can snap the rubber seal on both sides back into the vehicle.
Step 14 - Testing for Function
Now that you've successfully plugged both your DT connectors into both pods, test for function using the included toggle and ensure the backlight illuminates along with the main beam. 
With everything functioning properly, be sure to secure and loose wiring away from any hot or moving parts using the zip ties included with our kit.
Step 15 - Aiming your Stage Series LED Pods
Finally, we can aim our Stage Series pods as you desire. We can rotate our pods left and right and tighten them down using a 13mm wrench. Then we can tilt the pod up and down and secure it using a 5/32" allen.
