What Sets the HitchMount Apart?

3-in-1 Lighting Upgrade. The Diode Dynamics HitchMount is available in two options, SSC1 and C1R, both packed with functionality in a single compact housing. Each provides powerful reverse lighting using Diode Dynamics’ custom-engineered optics, along with a red running light for added visibility. Step up to the C1R model for even more capability, with an integrated fourth brake light and our SafetyStrobe feature, which delivers a quick pulse under braking to help alert drivers behind you. And because the system operates via the vehicle’s 7-pin trailer wiring harness, reverse and brake light functions activate automatically, no switches or manual controls required.

Compatibility with 2-Inch and 2.5-Inch Receivers. The HitchMount LED Pod is designed to fit both 2-inch and 2.5-inch trailer hitch receivers, using a custom-molded adapter sleeve included with every kit. It’s a perfect fit for a wide range of vehicles, including full-size trucks equipped with heavy-duty Class 5 hitches.

Simple, Clean Installation. Installation takes just minutes. The HitchMount LED Pod slides into the trailer hitch and connects directly to the vehicle using a plug-and-play in-line harness that fits between the OEM 7-pin trailer plug and socket. There’s no hardwiring, splicing, or additional switches, simply unplug the trailer connection, insert the HitchMount harness, and plug it back in. The snap-fit retention system locks the pod in place. For those who want added theft resistance, the retention tabs can be clipped to allow use of a standard locking hitch pin. When it’s time to tow, the pod removes easily using built-in release tabs, and a weatherproof DT connector cap is included to protect the plug while disconnected.
