True Upgrade. Other LEDs on the market are too big, have no hotspot in the beam pattern, or they simply stop working after just a few months. The SL1 LED bulbs finally provides a true upgrade in performance, with its compact size, optically correct output, and high reliability. The Lumileds chips shine in a true white 5700K color temperature, without any hint of blue, for an OEM-style appearance.

Focused Output. Don't be fooled by high lumen numbers. If the light source is out of focus, it doesn't matter how bright it is. You won't have focused light, you'll just have more glare. The SL1 LED is designed to shine light just like the original bulb, which improves the capability to preserve the focus of the lamp, with no added glare. 

Tested and Verified. To make sure everything works as intended, we use photometric test equipment to measure the entire beam pattern with the SL1 installed. A CNC rotating head called a goniometer holds a lamp. First, photometric test points are measured, as defined by SAE. Next, the entire beam pattern is mapped. This provides a full picture of the resulting output, and allows us to compare performance to the original bulb. 

Fitment. With its patented design, the SL1 LED bulb fits where other bulbs won't. It will fit under dust caps, and in tight spaces with no modification. There's no hanging metal straps. It's simply a compact bulb that plugs right in.

Reliability. The SL1 LED is a durable, reliable bulb, and is backed by a three year warranty. From the high-temperature teflon wire, to the zinc castings, every part of the the SL1 was designed for reliability. The driver uses a unique boost-mode circuit, which prevents thermal imbalance in the LEDs, and has transient protection for long life in automotive circuits.

Finally, the SL1 bulb was put through its paces in our environmental testing chambers, through dozens of thermal cycles, from -40 to 150 degrees Celsius. We also test for vibration and electrical transient voltage to ensure long life. Learn more here.
