Which color of LED should I use?

For the most vivid color and best results the LED color should be the same as the lens color. If a white LED is used behind a red lens some of the useable light is filtered out. If a white LED is used behind an amber lens the color will be bright yellow.


Turn signal issues with LED bulbs

LED brake/tail lamps will not flash with normal, stock, flasher units due to their extremely low current draw. Your vehicle thinks that the halogen turn signal bulbs are out. Some cars indicate this by increasing the flash rate of the turn signals, hyperblinking, some do not flash at all. One way to test this is to pull out one of your blinker bulbs. If you get a bulb out warning or rapid flashing, you will need a remedy. This can be fixed with load resistors wired across the turn signal bulbs to simulate a filament bulb load. Load resistors are an option for all vehicles. Another option is replacing your stock flasher module with one that blinks correctly. This is easier, as it is plug-and-play, but is not an option for all cars. Please see your own vehicle information to determine if replacing your flasher module is an option.

Connection Instructions:
Load resistor kits involve two simple splices for each bulb. Using the included splice taps, connect one wire to ground and the other wire to the turn signal wire. You do not have to cut your cars wires. Squeeze splice taps with pliers. One Load Resistor required for each turn signal bulb, and we sell them in pairs, here:

The flasher module is a replacement for your factory flasher module. Just unplug the old one, and plug the new one in. It is usually under the dash of most vehicles that have an external flasher. Some vehicles have the flasher built into the ECU, and this option is not available as it is not accessible.



Which LED bulbs will fit in my vehicle?

Every car takes different bulbs. We carry a variety of bulbs, your job is to find out which ones will fit!

Which LEDs bulbs are brightest?

Output greatly depends on the application and the intent of the installation. Our High Power and SMT bulbs are the brightest we currently offer. In most cases the higher number of diodes the bulb has the brighter the output.


Are the bulbs standard size?

All of our bulbs are standard size and will fit the application it is replacing.


Do your bulbs have dual intensity?

All our 1157, 3157, and 7443 bulbs have high and low output. They will get brighter when the brake or turn signal is applied.


Will LEDs work with the dimmer?

Yes LEDs will dim just like a standard bulb.


Can I replace my headlights with LEDs?

These bulbs are intended for use as a Day Time Running light or for aesthetic purposes only. They are a great match for HID headlights but not intended to be used as a primary source of light.


Which size HID bulbs fit my vehicle?

Every car takes different bulbs. We carry a variety of bulbs, your job is to find out which ones will fit!

Which temperature HIDs should I get?

HID Temperature, or the color of the light, is almost always a matter of personal preference. We carry 3000K, 4500K, 6000K, and 8000K.

Are your ballasts digital?

Yes! The ballasts we carry are the latest in HID lighting technology: 35 watt, Fully-Digital, Precision HID Ballasts (Water-proof and Shock-proof).


Do you have a warranty on HIDs?

Yes! Every Diode Dynamics product comes with a one-year warranty, including our HID Kits. Please view the warranty FAQ section for more information.


What is a relay harness, do I need one?

A relay harness can be installed with an HID kit. Normally, an HID kit is installed by plugging the ballast into the stock headlight bulb socket, from which it draws power. The relay harness is installed in order to power the HIDs directly from your battery instead of through the stock wiring, because the HIDs use more power when they are ignited and put extra load on the stock wiring system.

In most cases, it is a matter of personal preference whether or not you install a relay harness with your kit. On most vehicles, there will be no problem using the stock wiring, but if you want to be 100% safe, a relay harness is reccomended. We offer it as an add-on to your purchase for the very low price of $10.


Can I get Angel Eyes in other colors?

We only stock and offer CCFL Angel Eyes in White to keep prices down. You can purchase stained glass spray paint at your local craft store and coat them with any color you wish for a nice blue or red glow.


What is the difference between LED and your CCFL Angel Eyes?

Our CCFL Angel Eyes are much brighter than conventional LED Angel Eyes. They are so bright, that you can even clearly see them in daylight.


Can I have Angel Eyes and HIDs?

Yes! Angel Eyes are an add-on to your car, having nothing to do with HIDs. You can run both easily.


Will I still be able to use my headlights?

Yes! Your headlights are completely separate from your Angel Eyes.


Can I connect my interior kit to a switch?

Yes! The interior kits all end in a positive and negative lead, which you can easily connect to a switch. Some even come with a switch included or available as an option.


What colors can I get the interior kits in?

You can get the "Shines" and "Glows" interior kits in Red, Blue, White, Orange, Green, and Yellow. You can get the Footwell and Trunk Kits in Blue, Red, Orange, and White.


Do I need an adapter for your antenna?

No, you do not need an adapter. If the antenna is listed for your vehicle, it has been custom-manufactured as an OEM-fit replacement, no adapter needed. Just unscrew your old antenna and screw the new one in.


I do not see an antenna listed for my car, how can I get one?

Unfortunately, we do not have one available for you at this time. We actively are looking for more sample antennas and test cars so that we can create more antennas that fit your vehicle.


Can I get it in another color than black?

We only have the antennas available in black at this time.


By which methods can I pay for an order?

We accept Visa, American Express, Discover, Paypal, Money Orders, and cash locally. We use a secure Authorize.net service for direct credit card processing, and are Paypal verified. We prefer that you place your order online, but if need be, you can call in your credit card order.


Do I need a Paypal account to pay with Paypal?

No, you can also use Paypal to pay with your credit card, if you prefer. You will be taken to the Paypal interface, but you do not need to log in.


How do I know that you received my payment?

You will receive a confirmation email from us when your order is successfully processed, which means we did get your payment.


Can I cancel my order after payment?

We try to ship orders immediately after they are placed. When your order is shipped, you will recieve an email notification, updating the order status to "in transit." You can cancel your order at any time before this for a full refund and order cancellation. Orders cannot be canceled after shipment.


Do you offer a warranty?

Diode Dynamics offers a full-coverage, one-year warranty with all of its products, as of April 2009. We are able to back our own Diode Dynamics warranty, so there is no wait in sending items back to the manufacturer- usually, we are able to turnaround any warrany replacements within 24 hours. After one year of Diode Dynamics warranty service, we offer lifetime customer support. To redeem a warranty, please contact us.


If I sell my Diode Dynamics products, does the warranty transfer?

The warranty transfers to the new owner, and extends until the end of the original one-year period.


Can my warranty be denied or revoked?

If the product has been notably modified or altered in any way, or misused leading to product failure, we reserve the right to revoke the warranty.

International customers may choose between USPS First Class, USPS Priority International, and USPS EMS Express. If you know you need it fast, you may still alternatively select express services.


Can I ship to a different address than my own?

Yes. When you register your account, you will have an address book, in which you can store multiple addresses and ship to any one, at your choice.


Do you ship to APO/FPO and PO Boxes?

Yes. We ship to military APO/FPO addresses as well as US Postal Office Boxes, at no additional charge.


Do I get a tracking number with my order?

All U.S. customers, except in unusual circumstances, will receive a tracking number through e-mail. Additionally, you can log in and check the status of your order on our website. International customers receive tracking for USPS Priority, USPS Express, and UPS. USPS First Class International shipments do not receive any kind of tracking number.


What is your return policy?

Any customer can return merchandise up to 90 days after the order for a refund or exchange. Only the original purchaser may return the merchandise. If ownership is transferred, the right to return or exchange is void.


How do I return an order?

Just fill out this form (pdf), and follow the instructions.
You do not need to notify us. We will notify you when your return is received. The customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping.


Will I get a full refund for my return?

If the product has been unused, you will receive full refund, minus the cost of shipment. There are no restocking, processing, or administrative fees. If the product has been used, your refund amount will be negotiated appropriately and fairly. If the return you make is due to our error in packaging, we will refund your shipment cost as well upon receipt. We reserve the right to correct any packaging errors.


Can I exchange my items?

We are happy to help you exchange your items, for any reason. Usually this is due to the selection of the incorrect size or color. You will not be charged any additional shipping cost. The purchased items must be returned to us before the new items are shipped. Just fill out this form (pdf), and follow the instructions.
You do not need to notify us. We will notify you when your return is received. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs. If the exchange is being made due to error on our part, the shipping costs will be reasonably refunded on receipt of the merchandise.


I cannot change the options of the items in my cart!

In the shopping cart window, please select the option you prefer, then be sure to click the "update" button before continuing.


Why do I have orders listed as "Preparing, Paypal IPN" in my account?

Any time you reach the order confirmation page, an order is created in order to send to Paypal for payment. If you do not complete payment, it is left in your account as "prepared." We generally erase these incomplete orders on a regular basis, so there is no need for concern.
