7443 HP11 is a direct replacement for any 7443-size incandescent bulb.

The installation is 100% plug-and-play, just replace your factory bulb. The bulb may blink faster since it uses less power, and your vehicle thinks the bulb is out- to fix this, please see "hyperblinking" section below.

This bulb has four 1.5W chips around the sides, to fill in the light's housing and give a great appearance and full look, and one 5W LED chip with a projector lens on top to project outward. It uses an 7443-size durable inject-molded terminal and will fit as a replacement for stock halogen. It uses less power and heat than halogen bulbs, and will last longer, with its engineered aluminum heat-sinking technology. A component is embedded to prevent blowing the LED from voltage surge, and a diode is implanted to protect the LED from reverse polarity. The LED is wired for 12V operation, the kind found on all vehicles.

Included in your order is TWO BULBS.

These LEDs are available in a crisp, bright, amber or red color.

310 Lumens

Lumens: BUYER BEWARE! Most sellers just provide "calculated" lumen numbers, based on the maximum potential brightness of the LED chips on the bulb. For example, if a bulb has five 10-lumen chips, they will rate it at 50 lumens. However, this is not accurate, as the design of an LED bulb does not get rid of heat fast enough to run the LEDs at maximum.

These "calculated" lumen ratings are much, much higher than the true, measured light output, so it will look like competitors' bulbs are brighter than ours. This is because Diode Dynamics does not provide inflated "calculated" numbers; we believe it is misleading. We test the actual brightness of the bulbs in our lab, to provide real lumen output measurements. Our measurements are accurate, but they are usually much lower than the misleading "calculated" figures. Please click here to learn more about LED brightness measurement.

LED Components. Diode Dynamics uses only the highest quality LED chips in the production of its bulbs. This means we use only brand-name suppliers such as Epistar, Cree, Osram, and Samsung.

While our bulbs may look the same as others on the market, most copycat bulbs use economy-grade LED chips in order to reduce costs. This greatly reduces the reliability and overall brightness of the bulb when you compare it to Diode Dynamics.

Construction. Although LED technology allows for extremely long bulb life, the market is flooded with cheap LED bulbs that fail prematurely due to inferior construction. The worst enemy of LEDs is excessive heat, and when bulbs are not designed properly, they do not disperse heat as well, leading to premature failure.

Off-brand, cheap bulbs exhibit poor solder uniformity, high levels of flux in the solder, uneven chip placement, low-gauge terminal wires, poor assembly, and bulbs held together with inferior adhesives. At best, solder joints will crack and fail on low-quality LEDs after a few weeks of use. In the worst case, these bulbs can damage housings as the extra flux and adhesive evaporates and creates a residue on the lens of the housing.

Diode Dynamics bulbs are produced with modern, computerized equipment, and only the best materials, to ensure complete uniformity, high quality, and long bulb life.

The turn signals on most vehicles will begin to blink fast (hyperblink) when LED bulbs are installed. This is because the new LEDs will use less power than the original bulbs, so your vehicle thinks that the bulb is out and warns you by hyperblinking.

This phenomenon will be the same for every LED bulb on the market- there is no such thing as a "no hyperblink" LED bulb, even though some companies advertise them as such.

Flasher Replacement: You may have heard of replacing a "flasher relay" instead of using resistors. Indeed, some vehicles have a replaceable flasher relay, and it is possible to replace it with one designed for LED use, to eliminate hyperblinking. However, this is only true for some vehicles. We do not believe one is available for your vehicle, because your flasher is built-in to the vehicle's computer. You will need to use resistors for your vehicle.

Resistor Kit: If you prefer not to change the flasher, you can add resistors to the bulb's circuit, and mimic the power consumption of the original bulb, returning the vehicle to normal turn signal speed. Resistors are a universal fix for any vehicle. Our resistors are 50w, 6 ohm, and come with extra-long connection wires for easy install. If you have both front and rear LED turn signals, you should purchase one set for each pair, to create enough resistance for the whole turn signal circuit. The installation itself takes only 10-15 minutes, and involves making two simple connections. Everything you need is included in the kit.

  1. Very Bright but Very Long Review by Bobby

I'm very critical of lighting. These bulbs are almost as bright as some "advertised" 50% brighter and 50% more money. The fact that they are CK compliant is awesome too.

Downside is that they are longer than the typical incandescent bulb and other LED bulbs that I have bought. These almost run out of room in my tail lights. In my picture is the bulb and another brands bulb to show the difference in size. I went with the other brands because my front turn signals used the same bulb and these wouldn't fit. Also since the hot spot is farther away there is a dark ring in the middle but its barely noticeable.

Good bulbs if you got the room. (Posted on 7/6/17)

  2. 7443 hp11 LED Review by Glen

Got the 7443 hp11 LED for my 2013 Civic Si to use as tail lights. These LEDS are super bright. (Posted on 7/2/17)

  3. Awesome lights, but at a premium Review by Chris

I bought these specifically for the tail/brake lights on my 09 tC to complete my car's LED transformation. These lights are absolutely stunning, brilliantly bright and no one will have any excuse for not seeing these brake lights! The lights are really long. As I was installing them into the stock housing, they barely made it in. But they fit and work great! Also, the lights are very pricey, at basically $30 a light. If these were crappy wal mart LEDs, I'd skip them a suffer through some philips halogen but the quality of these lights makes the price worth it! (Posted on 12/16/15)

  4. If You can't see Me Review by Alan

    Installed a pair of Red HP11 (7443).

All I'll say is... If people can't see me braking.... They shouldn't be on the road OR I'm blinding them :)

Nice crisp lighting. (Posted on 7/18/15)

  5. Rear Lights Review by Rear Lights

I originally ordered SMD27s for my rear turn and lower brake lights. Worth the upgrade to these guys. Bright, clear lights. This will let drivers behind me know when I'm slowing down for sure. (Posted on 3/10/15)

  6. Bright Turn Signals Review by Varun

I love these bulbs! Replaced my rear turn signal and added a resistor to stop the hyper-blinking. I love the crisp and bright output of the bulbs! I would highly recommend them for applicable applications! (Posted on 1/20/15)

  7. Great improvement over stock bulbs Review by RJ

I ordered these LEDs to replace the OEM tail/brake lights in my 2011. Driving such a small car means people often don't see me, so I figured brightening up the tail/brake lights and casting a wider beam of light would help.

These LEDs are much, much brighter than the stock bulbs. The taillight, without the brake applied, is incredibly bright. Not only is it bright, the the light is projected off to the sides of the car much better, too. Once the brakes are applied, the difference between these bulbs and OEM isn't quite as dramatic, but it's still much improved.

Next I plan to order a set of Hi-Power LEDs in white to replace my reverse lights! I recommend these to anyone looking for a brighter-than-stock taillight. (Posted on 5/30/13)
